Llanynis Summer Festival

A full church for St David's Church Summer Festival.  The church was beautifully decorated with flowers displayed with care and attention by Mrs Rosi Nutting.  It was a delight and joy for Mrs Janet Day the Licensed Lay Minister (Reader) for Swansea and Brecon currently assigned to Builth Wells group of churches to join with retired vicar Coralie McCluskey in taking Even Song.  Ella James played the organ which added to the singing.  This annual event hosted by the family who provide a magnificent high tea in the house afterwards is not to be missed.  After several cups of tea and cakes the fund raising raffle was drawn.  This year on the second draw (after the first winner who lives in London could not take advantage of the prize) Mrs Janet Day was the lucky person to benefit from the generosity of the Lake Llangammarch Hotel and win a Spa Day for two.  Grateful thanks go to all those who provided this wonderful event.  Mrs Janet Day said "I am looking forward to next year already- this is rural church life at it's very best".
